Instrument Hire - Parents

Pupils and schools learning with an Associate Provider can access the county’s pool of instruments at subsidised rates through Wiltshire Music Connect.  The charges consider sensitivities and the needs of pupils.

Note that Wiltshire Music Connect will not offer administration of the Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme; however this is still available through schools.

Pupils already in need of subsidy for tuition fees can claim:

·         100% reduction for pupils eligible for Pupil Premium (including those entitled to Free School Meals and Service Family Premium)

·         100% reduction for pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability

·         100% reduction for pupils who are Looked After/In Care (LAC) - this is through a partnership with Wiltshire Virtual School

·         50% reduction for pupils who schools classify as vulnerable for other reasons and who are unlikely to be able to take up (or continue) lessons as a result of economic or social circumstances.  This is at the school's discretion.

If you wish to hire an instrument please indicate this on the booking form.  Luke Pickett will then order the instrument hire on your behalf.  You will receive confirmation from Wiltshire and Swindon Learning Resources together with instructions for payment and agreement to the Terms and Conditions.  Payment will consist of a single lump sum with no reductions or refunds for pupils commencing or ceasing lessons mid-year.  The instrument will be delivered to the child’s school at the start of the next term (September, January or April).  Full details about the scheme are available here.
